About

Everglade records was founded in 2005 by principals Kristine H. Burns and Colby Leider to document and distribute experimental sound and media art. We are particularly interested in developing a media catalog that emphasizes novel works that embrace technology, live performance, previously unrecorded art, acoustic documentary, and/or sounds of the environment. everglade records is a 501(c)(3) non-profit company registered with the State of Florida.

To develop this catalog, we are currently seeking proposals for recording projects. If your project meets one or more of the following criteria, we welcome your ideas:

• the project documents acoustic environments in danger of extinction
• it is not particularly feasible for online distribution or standard CD release
• it exploits the proliferation of consumer surround-sound home theaters
• surveys the boundary between music composition and acoustic documentary
• attempts to bring experimental music to a broader audience
